Computer Mock Test 8 – Revision Test for Better Marks

🏆 Scholarship test ✓ Free Class 10 Computer

About this test

Databases and SQL are an easy chapter to score in if the basics are clear, and this test checks exactly that. You will practise the difference between a table, record (रिकॉर्ड) and field (फ़ील्ड), then move on to primary key (प्राइमरी की) and foreign key. The SQL part covers SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE, plus queries, forms and reports. A few questions on normalisation (नॉर्मलाइज़ेशन) test whether you understand why data is stored without repetition. Attempt it after reading the chapter, then use the explanations (व्याख्या) to fix any command you mixed up.

What this test covers

  • Database, table, record (row) and field (column) (डेटाबेस, रिकॉर्ड, फ़ील्ड)
  • Primary key and foreign key (प्राइमरी की, फॉरेन की)
  • Relationships between tables
  • SQL basics: full form and uses (SQL)
  • SQL commands: SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE
  • Queries (क्वेरी): asking a database for specific data
  • Forms and reports: entering and printing data
  • Normalisation: reducing repeated data (नॉर्मलाइज़ेशन)

Questions students ask

What is the difference between a record and a field?

A record is one row that holds all details of one item, and a field is one column that holds one type of detail.

What is a primary key?

It is a field that uniquely identifies each record, so no two records have the same value.

What does a foreign key do?

It links one table to another by referring to the primary key of the other table.

Which SQL command is used to get data from a table?

SELECT is used to retrieve data from a table.

How are INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE different?

INSERT adds a new record, UPDATE changes an existing record, and DELETE removes a record.

What is normalisation?

It is organising data so that the same information is not repeated, which keeps the database accurate.
